Today was a good day. Had to get up early for my Historic Preservation class, but was excited to talk with my professor about my independent study for that class, and my ideas for its final design proposal.
Afterwards, I went the American Institute of Architects convention in Des Moines (my home town!), and enjoyed the workshop on the social media landscape, as well as the head speaker Peter Gluck and his info on 'Build Design.' The exhibits were very informative and I got to show off my Dad (also an architect) to my fellow students and professors. My mom stopped by near the end of the day for the cocktail party at the convention, so I was able to spend time with both of my parents(and enjoy a nice cold brew).
A very great and productive day!
