Early Morning Update

It's been awhile since I have been on here, but stuff will soon be coming!

Just to update you on the status of our 'Jazz Cube' I will just post an image of our working 3D model. Materials and details to be added very soon to this!

Things to notice:
Were trying to utilize a dual-axis system, with the two performance halls facing one direction, and the supporting spaces the other. Though unseen in the model at the moment, The two performance halls will be aligning with the city grid, placing prime importance and hierarchy with them, and the other spaces to be rotated slightly off axis to help (formally) channel people through the spaces within the building.

Hopefully this idea will become more apparent as time goes on -- still a work in progress...

Facade Design

working to design our facade of our glass cube, integrating ideas of structure from the nearby bridge for our curtain wall/ structural glass.

Bridge Elevation

Integrating our 'two axis' concept

Angles given from the cross bracing -- Black for the straight one, Green for the angled one

Simplified angles, defining some as 'structural' and some as just mullions.

We will take this concept and try and scale it to our cube's glass facade and see if it is as we imagined it. Hopefully in the end you will see the distinction and methodology of the transformation of this idea!
